NANCY WEALE Regretfully we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy Elizabeth Weale on November 13, 2010 with family at her side. She was born in Shropshire, England, August 5, 1918. As a child Nancy came to Canada with her family and lived in Fort Rouge for her whole life. She attended Lord Roberts School and graduated from Kelvin High. She worked with facts and figures in real estate and financial offices until her retirement. Nancy led a busy retirement filled with activity: educational courses for seniors and volunteering at church; Her generous spirit kept her hands busy with various needlework; mittens for inner city kids, sweaters and hats for kids up North...generally anything required for anyone in need. Nancy was an active lifetime member of St. Alban's Anglican Church and a 70 year member of Royal Canadian Legion. She was a glowing example of independence, loyalty and generosity. She will be missed. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Kay Asgeirson, her nieces and nephews, Twila Thompson and sons, Graham and Rhys, Susan Hunt and daughters, Kelly, Lisa and Natasha, Gerry Hunt (Karen). The family would like to thank the staff of Victoria General Hospital for their kind care during her recent stay. Following her request, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service is planned for a later date.
