Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN ANNIE NASH On November 18, 2010, Kathleen Annie Nash (nee Smith) passed away at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli, MB. Survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas; daughter Kathleen (Lewis); sons, Brian, Don, Barry (Cheryl) and Doug (Mickey), as well as 16 grandchildren and 35 great- grandchildren and many wonderful extended family members. She was predeceased by her son Bruce (2007) and daughter-in-law Trudy (2004). Mom was born February 24, 1924 in Brighton, England. She met and married the love of her life and later moved to Canada. Although she was happy with her new life here, part of her heart remained in Brighton. Mom loved her family with all her heart and was the matriarch of the family. She took her role as mother and grandmother seriously. Her door was always open with a hot cup of tea to all she loved so her house was always full. Kay will always be remembered as being young at heart. Her grandkids had to work hard to keep up with her, especially shopping at Polo Park. She kept us all in line with her threat to box your ears but always with her giggle to follow. Although Kay was a proper English woman we will forever remember her perched in front of the T.V. cheering loudly for her favourite wrestler. You are truly loved and will always be remembered in our hearts as an amazing wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of Johnson Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
