CAROL JOY BOBBY (AUER) Peacefully, with family by her side, on Tuesday November 16, 2010, Joy Bobby of Matlock, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 63. She was predeceased by her parents Leo and Carol Auer, and brother Leo. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Jim; daughters Dawn (David) and Kelly (Bill}; granddaughters Janine, Jenica, and Brooke; sisters Karen and Marilyn; brother Mark and their spouses and families. Joy was born on August 4, 1947 in Winnipeg Manitoba. The family moved to Matlock in 1961 where she met her husband Jim and married in 1970. She was employed for many years by MTS in Selkirk where she made many friendships. Joy had many creative interests which included cake decorating, photography, playing guitar, and cooking, among other things. She had a ready wit and could appreciate humour in everyday life. She had a deep love for her family and friends and will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. R. C. Patel and the staff of Gimli Community Health Center for their excellent care. Funeral service will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk on Monday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Robin Mather officiating. A private family interment of ashes will occur following at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
