DORIS (ELNA) MACDONALD (nee JOHNSON) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother Elna MacDonald at the age of 87 years. Left to cherish Elna's memory are her daughters Joan MacDonald and Maureen MacDonald of Winnipeg; daughter Barbara Spisich and son-in-law John Spisich of Mississauga, Ontario; brother Gordon Johnson (Mary); sister Lorna MacDonald (Gordon); brother -in- law Eric Mackenzie. She was predeceased by her husband John Alexander MacDonald (1982) and sister Merle MacKenzie (2009). Elna graduated from the Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing in 1946 and worked as an R.N. in the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre for over 30 years. She loved animals and will be greatly missed by her three pet cats and dog. In compliance with Elna's wishes a private family service will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue @ Sharp Boulevard. Flowers are gratefully declined.
