WAYNE WM. KACHKAN CASH November 26, 1943 - November 8, 2010 Wayne accepted his three month illness of cancer and humorously dealt with it. He leaves to cherish his memory the following: his Bride Lois, sister Victoria (Pat), stepdaughters Melanie and Maureen (Ralph), his daughter Joanne (Will) and chosen daughter Riley, stepfather Robert and Linda Jackman, mother-in-law Kathleen, four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, godchildren, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father William Basil Kachkan, mother Thelma Sturgeon, brother Robert, sister Melody Louise (LULU). Wayne was an honourable gentleman from a very young age, he kept many friends more than 50 years and was always looking for new ones. Once committed, he never faltered in his dedication to organizations, work, family or friends. Wayne was a member of Canadian Wildlife Federation, Royal Canadian Legion. He was accepted and served into Freemasonry and the Khartum Shrine. Wayne was honoured many times for his 432 donations by the Canadian Blood Services. Most of his 50 plus years of employment was in the print and advertising industry. At 50, he and his wife purchased Pollock Hardware, learning the needs of the Luxton neighbourhood, they stepped up to the plate and worked with many residents, businesses, organizations, and governments for the betterment of the community. They helped form Merchants Between the Parks. He responded to the safety needs by joining the MLA's group of Citizens on Patrol after which they would attend choir practice and share his love of beer making. Wayne and Lois felt fortunate to have almost three years of retirement to enable them to bond with and draw support from the community of the Winnipeg Beach area and the people of Val Vista Village in Mesa, AZ. A semi-private Masonic Service and Wake was held. In his memory, donations of money or time may be made to the charity or organization of your choice. NEIL BARDAL INC.
