PHYLLIS MARY BROATCH Peacefully in her sleep, on November 16, 2010, Phyllis Mary Broatch passed away at the Carberry Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Rusty, in 2008. Phyllis is survived by her younger sister Nell; three children, Sharon (Milo), Lorry (Joanne), Murray (Denita); eight grandchildren (Jennifer, Andrew, Mila, Lochlin, Alexandra, Shelby, Hayley, Kelson), as well as three great-grandchildren (Ethan, Jude and Lee). Phyllis was a long time member of the Old Kildonan community. She was a loving mother, dedicated kindergarten teacher and the best darn grandma any child could ask for. A lover of birds and nature, she enjoyed singing and playing her piano, spending time at the cottage at Betula Lake and travelling the world. A memorial service will be held at Kildonan Presbyterian Church, Nisbet Hall on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in her memory can be made to the Kildonan Presbyterian Church or the Gilian Fast Endowment Fund.
