ELLIS June 2, 1911 - November 12, 2010 Suddenly on Friday, November 12, 2010 Violet Ellis of Stonewall, MB passed away at Stonewall Hospital. She is survived by her loving family: sons, Bill (Margaret), Ken (Julie), and Ray, daughters Fay (Charlie) Criggie and Verna Tindall; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Violet was predeceased by her husband Bill, daughters Shirley Stamper and Mae Ellis, sons-in-law Joe Stamper and Doug Tindall. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place with interment in Stonewall Cemetery. We love you mom and we will always miss you

Yes, those brilliant blue eyes and that great sense of humour with that giggle and a cover of her face with her hand. Loved those Dad's cookies and milk or kool-aid offered to us around that kitchen table while mom and dad conversed with her and Ray. Grampa would be lighting a pipe and we'd continue our visit with him smoking his pipe in the living room. Dad and grampa would argue about politics and us kids would sit and listen or head outside into the big treed yard to play. Such a cozy atmosphere and one you'd expect at your grandparents place. Grandma was an amazing lady, As a young child I remember visiting her and Grampa on a few occasions with my older sisters. When we walked in the house she would always be either making lunch or baking some delicious treats. Her smile and brilliant blue eyes would always welcome us with open arms.
