JOHN PERNEROWSKI 1925 - 2010 Peacefully, on November 19th, 2010 at his residence, John Pernerowski, beloved husband of Jane, passed away at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by his parents Mike and Nellie, and step-brother Wasyl of the Ukraine, he leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife Jane (nee Leochko); sons Gary (Terry), Ron (Monique), and Don (Julie); grandchildren Glenn and Teagan Hemming, Reanne and Todd, Matthew, Nicole, and Taylor; great-grandchildren Grant and Shaun Hemming. John immigrated to Canada from the Ukraine in 1947, and met his wife Jane in 1948 in Winnipeg. John and Jane celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary in August. John worked for Manitoba/Dominion Bridge where he stayed until retirement in 1990. John's first love was his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved fishing with his sons and friends and took great pride in the meticulous work that he put into his yard. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment and Reception will follow. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in John's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
