I learned about Gord’s passion probably at least 10 years after it happened. Gord was my supervisor at StandardAero when I was in my early twenties. I saw Gord take on his first manager’s role and it was a pleasure to see him blossom into that part of his career. He was always a positive person and took great pride in those he managed. Happy Holidays to the Phillips family as you move through another Christmas Season without Gord. Wishing you all the best. - Posted by: Chris King (Co-worker) on: Dec 13, 2024

Gordon Phillips was a childhood and teenage friend of mine. We shared an enormous amount of time and memories together. He and I belong to the chess club, went to the same schools, played football and other sports and shared our lives with each other. Yes, Gordon’s sense of humor and laugh light up the room. I will always treasure Gordon memories. My condolences to his loved ones. - Posted by: Nazeer A. Khan (Friend) on: Dec 14, 2013

Some of the guys at work were just mentioning Gord today, Thurs. Dec.6th, 2012. We were talking about a time when he was our boss. He never had anything bad to say about anyone and always tried to stay neutral in somewhat heated situations. He was a crafty poker player during the lunch hour games as he never had any real tells. Good hand or bad he played them all the same. And he loved his food. Not always the healthy choice at lunch, but appreciated good food, no doubt. I just wanted to post this even though it's been two years since his passing. Just felt it needed to be said that we still do think of him from time to time. Miss you Gord. Merry Xmas to his family and friends. - Posted by: Kevin Moore (Co-worker ( Standard Aero)) on: Dec 06, 2012

Gord was one of the nicest men that I have ever known. One thing I will always remember is that when he smiled his entire face lit up. We lived in different cities so did not see him a lot, but; when we did get together it felt like we saw each other every day. He was a kind and gentle man and am proud to say; my nephew.. My heart goes out to Teresa, Stephanie, Ben and Ellen. You will be missed Gordie ! Love to all, Auntie mickey - Posted by: muriel kesanen (Family) on: Nov 23, 2010
