Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryINEZ CREAME-NANTON On November 18, 2010 at the Concordia Hospital, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Inez Creame-Nanton, passed away peacefully with family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Nanton, sister Muriel Lyttle, brother-in-law Herman Lyttle, brother Henry Bristol, sister Pearl Bristol, nephew Euton Lyttle, Inez leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her daughter, Gloria Duncan; grandchildren, Andrew (Brenda), Vanessa, Melanie and Belinda; great-grandchildren, Amanda Rempel, Chyna Duncan, Andrea Duncan, Maya Duncan; great-great-grandchild Natalie Rempel and godson Kevin Hosein. She also had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, who were like her own: Henry, Stanley, Rollin, Neville, Godfrey and Patrick Lyttle, Hulda Thomas, Valerie Anderson, Dorsil Livan, Marva and Lennox George. Born in Guyana, South America on October 21, 1916. Inez worked for the Guyana Air Force Base as a General Worker. In 1958, she immigrated to the United Kingdom, employed as a factory sewer for GH Neville. She eventually came to Winnipeg, Canada in 1970 where she made her home. She worked for Winnipeg Child and Family Services as a homemaker. In 1993 she proudly became a Canadian citizen, and on November 9, 1996 married Thomas Nanton. Inez lovingly assisted in raising four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews. She also developed a very large family on her own, adopting almost anybody she met. Although family always came first, Inez also enjoyed her church, her church choir, travelling, especially her many trips back to Guyana, doing word search, singing, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Let's Make a Deal and The Price is Right. Inez has been blessed with many special friends who became her adopted children: Gwen Smith, Sylvia Gray, Phyllis Warner, Rose and Rob Falk, Marge Watson, Barbara Torka, Dr. and Helen Marsh. Funeral service to be held on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., viewing one hour prior to service, at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street with interment following at the Transcona Cemetery. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
