Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMMA MEADS It is with great sadness that the family of Emma Meads (Morrison) announces her passing on Sunday, November 21, 2010. Born March 9, 1926 in Argyle, Emma lived most of her life in Stonewall. Emma was predeceased by her husband John; her parents, Edwin and Janet Morrison; sisters, Margaret Dodd, Alice Nichol; brother Leonard Morrison. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Audrey (Bill) Cameron, Ed (Donna) Meads, Glenn (Jan) Meads, Joan (Murray) Ellison and Howard Meads; grandchildren, Dawn (Trevor) Aberle, Kel (Katie) Meads, Heather (Dan) McDermid, Shannon (Sean) McGill, Kevin Ellison, Richard Meads, Leanne Meads, Colin Saunders; great-grandchildren, Kyra, Jori and Callie Aberle, Emma and Natalie McGill, Lily and Liam McDermid; brothers, Alan (Alice) Morrison, Ellis (Dora) Morrison; sisters-in-law, Nell Smith, Irene Meads, Mabel Meads and Winnie Doak, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Family meant the world to Mom. Her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She had many great friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her love of knitting provided many with mittens and afghans. She loved to bake and we will all remember her famous butter tarts. The family would like to thank Dr. Graham and the wonderful staff at Rosewood Lodge for their excellent care. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 26 at 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall. Rev. James Bardsley will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire, may make donations to Rosewood Lodge. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
