ROBERT (BERT) JAMES RISLUND Bert is lovingly missed by his wife Joanne of 38 years; his children: daughters Kimberly (Marc), Dawn (Matthew) and son James (Vanessa); grandchildren Michael, Sky, Jessica, Breanne, Dreden, Liam, Presleigh, and Tyler; brothers Bill (Mae), Brian (Lynn) and many nieces and nephews. Bert was predeceased by his parents Mary and Albert Rislund. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian, Bill, and James Rislund, Wayne Sandberg, Bob and Les Lewis. Bert was born and raised in Saskatchewan until moving to Manitoba in 1971. Bert retired after 30 years of service with M.T.S. due to illness. He enjoyed R.V'ing and snowmobiling until his illness progressed. He also enjoyed watching football and cheered on the Saskatchewan Roughriders, as he did on Sunday, then peacefully passed away on November 22, 2010. Many heartfelt thanks to the homecare ladies, Joanne, Sandy, and Lynette for their kindness. Also to the staff at the Selkirk General Hospital who graciously cared for Bert. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating.
