DONALD ROSS MCCRAE Don passed away at Concordia Hospital on November 18, 2010 at the age of 95 years old. Don was predeceased by his parents Campbell and Elizabeth McCrae, wife Verla McCrae, daughter Laura Jean Borthwick, brother Les, and he is survived by his sister Francis as well as other extended family and his special friend Julie. Don had a zest for life. He was a caring, compassionate man. Don was a member of the Khartum Shriners Club and was a Rotary member. Don always looked forward to his Monday morning coffee meetings with the C.P. Railroaders. A special thank you to the staff and doctors of the Concordia Hospital 3rd Floor for the spectacular care given to Don during his last few days. A very heartfelt thank you to all of Don's neighbours for looking out for him over the years. A special thank you to Arlie and Evan and family. You were a special part of Don's life and words cannot express our gratitude for being there for him throughout the years. As per Don's request, cremation has taken place and a service to celebrate his life will be held at Thomson Funeral Home on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
