LOUISE MARIE SIEMENS (nee CLASSEN) Louise passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 21, 2010 with her family by her side. Louise was predeceased by John, her husband of 55 years, in 1999. She was born in Hamburg, Germany on September 13, 1923 and immigrated to Canada with her family in October of 1923. She grew up in the Culross area and moved to Winnipeg in her youth. Louise and John met and were married in 1943 and soon started their family. In her vibrant years she was an active member in the First Mennonite Church and enjoyed volunteering with the Morija Circle. She was a thoughtful and caring person with a mischievous nature that endeared her to all who met her. Mom will never be forgotten by her sons, Richard and Yvonne, Ronald and Lori, Grant and Margaret; her grandchildren, Deavah, Tamara (Stephen), Sean (Teresa), Stevan, Garry and Kyle; her great-granddaughters, Morgan and Rowan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with Rev. Franz Wiebe presiding. The family wishes to thank the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for the excellent care given to Mom during her residency.
