ROBERT (BOB) JAMES GROOMBRIDGE December 5, 1924 November 19, 2010 Peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2010, Bob died at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with his family by his side. Remaining to forever cherish Bob's memory is his daughter Marilyn (Jeff); son Rob (Sharon); granddaughters Mary Lynn (Skip) and Donna (Marco); grandsons Mike, Ryan, and Paul, and son-in-law Vincent Roman. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, our mom, Coralee in 1996. During the Second World War, Dad served overseas in the Navy aboard the corvette Woodstock. He took great pleasure in sketching, gardening, bowling, and travel, and remained active until the end. Dad especially enjoyed his circle of friends in the art group, particularly their Monday morning breakfasts; and the company of his good friend, Grace. Respecting Dad's wishes, a private family service was held. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the healthcare team of 3 South at Grace Hospital for keeping Dad comfortable in recent weeks. For those who wish, memorial donations in Dad's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
