PAUL DITTBERNER November 2, 1930 - November 23, 2010 Paul was predeceased by Elisabeth, November 3, 2002, wife of 51 years. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Astrid (Richard) Mazur, Paul Gerold (Linda) Dittberner, Ilona Gousseau, grandchildren Michael, Kendra (Roger), Darren, Dana and Nicole, great-grandchildren Keegan and Avery, the Dittberner cousins and their families, nieces and nephews in Germany. Paul was born in Offenbach, Germany, making Canada his home in 1957. Dad and mom travelled throughout Europe, North America and spent 28 winters in Mazatlan. As a master bricklayer dad built his own company on word of mouth and left a legacy of his work in many corners of the world. It made him proud that Richard and Gerold learned the skill. Dad passed his love of the outdoors on to his family. We enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting, fishing and sharing his cottage at Wannipagow Lake. Picking Opa mushrooms and making red currant wine is a yearly tradition. His stroke in 2000 diminished his quality of life but losing mom devastated him. Life was very difficult but dad sure enjoyed the visits. There were many Riesens to come and no shortage of love and memories. Thank you to the staff of St. Norbert Personal Care Home, especially Tony. Many thanks to Ernie Antazo, you are a blessing and dad loved you. We know you will miss your Papa Paul . Per dad's request cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. If friends desire, donations may be made in memory of Paul to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. We listened more than you think We remember more than you realize We love you more than you know We thank you for being our Dad (Opa) Rest In Peace Online condolences may be made at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
