WILLIAM (BILL) PATRICK SCULLY March 26, 1936 - November 24, 2010 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Bill Scully at the age of 74 years. Bill was predeceased by his wife Kathleen, brother Gerry, sister-in-law Lorraine, brother-in-law Henri Vandale, and parents Maurice and Alice. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Maura (Charlie) Fredborg; grandchildren: Caitlin, Ciera, Shannon; brother Larry (Kathy); sister Linda Vandale (Don Lench) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Norwood attending Holy Cross School during which time he played football and hockey. In 1960 he married Kathleen Comeau in St. John, New Brunswick. He worked for Uniroyal Tire for 37 years and during that time was transferred from St. John to Edmonton and making their final home in Winnipeg. Bill volunteered for the Manitoba Catholic School Trustee Association, Duke of Kent Legion as well as the Knights of Columbus. Bill and Kay enjoyed spending summers at their cottage at Balsam Bay. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and golfing, socializing with his friends at the Legion and going for coffee at The Forks with his buddies. He was proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed time spent with them. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 1 at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc St. with viewing one half hour prior to the mass. Following the reception the interment will take place in Green Acres Cemetery, #1 Hwy. at Navin Road. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or charity of one's choice.
