Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD PETER HEPPNER February 22, 1942 - November 22, 2010 Our dear Leonard passed away with his family at his side. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Aileen; two sons, David, Brian (Tammy); his precious granddaughters, Emily, Jillian and Samantha; father Peter (Marion); sister Pat (Tom); sisters-in-law, Julie (Dennis), Linda (Ken), Joyce and many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was predeceased by his mother Mary, brother Don; brother-in-law Archie Vermeulen; and mother and father-in-law, Archie and Annie Vermeulen. Leonard was an avid reader and movie buff. He was very knowledgeable when it came to music, old and new, he also enjoyed dancing to his favourite tunes. Golf was his game but he also enjoyed watching his favourite sports teams in hockey and football, with long discussions afterwards with his friends. In earlier years he coached hockey and soccer at the East End Community Club. Leonard worked in the printing industry and loved his chosen profession starting at the age of 17 at Poly Bag, then on to Wallingford Press, Jack Berger. Leonard loved his family and friends. He was a very friendly, easy going, positive person making new friends wherever he went. He had a great sense of humour and was so much fun to be with. He will be greatly missed. Instead of flowers - as Leonard would say Be good to each other. Hugs are good. Celebration of Leonard's life will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue, West.
