Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE SHAVER March 24, 1928 - November 25, 2010 IRENE SHAVER May 8, 1931 - November 25, 2010 Tragically on November 25, 2010, George passed away. He was predeceased by his mother and father; sister Joanne and brother Ronnie. Survived by brother Allen (Ruth) sister Shirley. His wife Irene passed away peacefully six hours later that day. She is predeceased by her mother and father; sisters, Vera, Margurite; and brothers, Gordon, Bert, Vic, Harold and Raymond. Survived by brother Clifford (Corrine); sister Pat (Paul). They were also predeceased by their son Martin. They are survived by their children, Bill (Cheryl), Linda (Wilf), Cliff, Glen and Paul. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren. George was a kind and selfless man, a true friend to all he met and willing to share his vast knowledge of mechanics, creating any type of machinery a person needed. In his retirement he helped his longtime friend and neighbour Norm with his farming projects almost to the point of a full-time job. George was a faithful member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and would greet everyone with a smile and a handshake each week. Irene was a talented artist sharing her paintings and beautifully handcrafted creations with her family and friends. She had an infectious laugh and found humour in every situation and was famous for her good natured pranks. She loved to reminisce about the good old days . They enjoyed their life together in the country and will be missed immensely. Service and luncheon held Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 700 London Street East Kildonan. Interment to follow: Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, #1 Hwy. E. Navin Road. 222-3241.
