THEODORE CHAMMARTIN
Date of Passing: Nov 22, 2010
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHEODORE CHAMMARTIN With regret and sadness the family announces the loss of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Ted will be greatly missed by his children: Roger (Betty), Reald (Dianne), Jeanne (Gary), Lea (Curt); seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one surviving brother Andy, plus many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marguerite, his parents, one sister and three brothers. He was an important part of his grandchildren's life and they all have special memories to cherish forever. Ted grew up in Notre Dame de Lourdes where he met and married Marguerite or Mom as he affectionately liked to call her. He was raised in a talented family where he acquired his love of music. Music always played an active part in his life and along with his brothers they played music at various locations throughout Manitoba. He retired from the City of Winnipeg after 30 years of service. Ted showed great courage during his illness, never complaining and never losing his wonderful sense of humour. The only time he ever complained was when his much loved Montreal Canadians lost the Hockey Game. He could make you laugh when you wanted to cry and he would leave a smile on everyone's face that he came into contact with. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Dialysis Unit staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care and compassion over the years as well as the staff of 5E, Taché Nursing Home and Catherines Place. A private family service was held on Monday, November 29, 2010. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
