Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN CHARNEY (nee KABAN) On Friday, November 26, 2010 after a brief illness, Lillian E. Charney passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 72. Remaining to forever cherish Lil's memory is her loving husband Ernest; sons Marvin and wife Dianne (Foster) (her sons Marlin and Ryan Fry) and Terry; brothers Edward and Eugene Kaban; sisters-in-law Gwen Charney and Donna Charney. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers. Lillian was born on March 11, 1938 in Rossburn, MB and spent her adult life in Winnipeg. Lil and Ernie were both raised in the Rossburn area. They were married on July 3, 1958. They raised their two sons on Truro St. in St. James. She worked for a short time when her sons were young, then stayed home to raise them. When Marvin married Dianne, Lil and Ernie gained two grandsons, Marlin and Ryan. Lil enjoyed gardening and her yard was always full of colourful flowers in the summer. In the past few years, many people enjoyed her delicious perogies and we will miss those. This summer she was able to take a driving trip with Ernie and Terry, going as far west as Kimberley, BC, enjoying the scenery and visits with relatives. Lil loved her family very much. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed. Lil's funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010, in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue. Rest In Peace.
