EDWARD KOOP It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of Ed Koop on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the age of 52 years. Ed will be sadly missed by his daughters Corinne and Candis, and grandson Aiden. He will also be remembered by his mother Kathie Koop, and brothers John, Ernie (Mel), Leo (Heather), Helmut (Dione), Rob (Laurie) and Albert. He was predeceased by his father Isaak and brother Harold. He was also loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Ed was born April 11, 1958 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in North Kildonan. He was a carefree spirit who always had a smile on his face. He was the life of every party, and you couldn't help but be drawn towards him. Ed was well known for his love of hunting and fishing. He was also a craftsman of many trades. One of his hobbies was purchasing and renovating homes. Ed had a special bond with his first and only grandson Aiden, and was proud to carry the name of Opa . Our deepest gratitude goes out to Dan and Hilary for all of your help. Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road, Winnipeg.
