SUSANNA SAWATZKY Our mother passed away peacefully on November 27, 2010. Only a week ago the family celebrated her 96th birthday at Bethania Personal Care Home where she was a resident. Mother was born in the Ukraine to Dave and Aganeta Klassen where her parents were farming in the small village of Kronstal. In 1935 she married Heinrich Janzen whom she lost in 1938 when he was killed. In 1943 she moved to Germany where she met Dietrich Sawatzky. The family immigrated to Canada in 1954 where they made their home in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Dietrich. Mom devoted her life to her family and is lovingly remembered by her children Heinz (Betty) Janzen, Kurt (Frieda) Sawatzky and Elsie Sawatzky; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg with viewing one hour prior to the service. Many thanks to the staff at Bethania Personal Care Home for their support and care.
