JEANNIE (JEAN) ELEANOR WALKER (nee TAYLOR) 1929 - 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce that on the afternoon of Friday, November 26, Jean passed away peacefully at the age of 81 years. She was predeceased by her parents Anne and Walter, husband Walter, brother Bill, sister Betty, and brother-in-law Martin. Jean leaves to mourn her son Ken, sister Roseanne (Frank), sister-in-law Ruth Taylor and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jean was born in Argyle, Manitoba on January 10, 1929. She spent her childhood summers on her grandmother's farm, where she nurtured her love of animals and nature. In her youth she moved to Vancouver where she met and married Wally and raised her only child, Ken. She loved the beauty of the west coast and spent many summers with her family hiking, camping or near the Pacific Ocean. Jean was also a career girl and worked for the Bank of Montreal all of her professional life. Jean returned to Manitoba in the 1980's and lived in Winnipeg until her passing. Jean had a great love for life. She was adored by family and friends for her kindness, thoughtfulness, intelligence and sense of humour. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 4, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 881 Autumnwood Drive, Winnipeg.
