KRISTJAN SKULI SIGFUSSON 1979 - 2010 At 31 years of age, Kristjan Sigfusson chose to leave this world much too soon. Predeceased by his Afi Sveinn Sigfusson and his Afi Dr. Gestur Kristjansson; he will be sadly missed by his parents, Heida and Skuli Sigfusson; his sister Freya and brother-in-law James McInnis; his sister Noni and brother-in-law Daniel Rosenblat; his nieces Nia McInnis and Ryler Rosenblat; nephew Tristan McInnis; Amma Thelma Sigfusson; Amma Norma Kristjansson; aunts, uncles and cousins. Kristjan's energy and enthusiasm touched many who knew him. With his charming ways and charisma, he left lasting impressions and many loving relationships. Kristjan loved sailing, snowboarding and golfing and was passionate about the outdoors. The family cherishes many happy summers spent with him at Clearwater Bay and all the activities together there, in particular, time with his grandparents, extended family and friends. Kristjan's broad spectrum of talents and hobbies ranged as far as mechanical, electrical, carpentry, artistic design and painting, and reading. Kristjan loved a challenge, and we were often thankful for his many skills. Although he was never interested in a desk job, he recently completed another business course to compliment his Business Degree, with plans to start his own new business. Throughout his life K had many adventures, many of them spontaneous. He loved the season he spent snowboarding in Fernie, BC; he travelled to Europe; he travelled to Iceland with the Snorri work program where he connected with his Icelandic heritage. You will be in our hearts and minds every day and always, we love you K. You are never really gone if you are not forgotten. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2010, at First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Kristjan's memory to the AFM. I have been thinking about you Kristjan. I’m not sure why you came into my head recently but wanted to reach out somehow. I have so many memories of good times with you “back in the day”. One that sticks out the most is a random day that I ended up on Corydon after a lunch with a friend, walking back to my car. I ran into you and we ended up hanging out all afternoon and into the evening. The time always flew by with you - the minutes and hours passing freely with constantly laughter. Thinking of your family over the holidays and wishing you and them peace. - Posted by: Jen Lancaster (Friend) on: Dec 20, 2024

Hi Kristjan, you may no longer be with us in the physical realm but your inner being lives on forever and I know you are often in the thoughts of family and friends. I'm so sorry that the immeasurable beauty of life was superseded by the insuperable pain of depression. What an unfair battle....we want nothing more than to live joyously yet our minds won't let us. We sure had fun partying together as teenagers and young adults! Meet you on the other side! - Posted by: Ingrid (Friend) on: Aug 20, 2018
