MARY DELEY (nee KLOWAK) 1924 - 2010 With deep sadness the family of Mary Deley, announce her passing after a short illness. Mary peacefully passed away on November 30, 2010 at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home. Mary was predeceased by her husband William in 1983, her mother Theodosia and father Phillip, brother Mike and sister Luba. She leaves to cherish her sisters Kay (Mike), Libby (Mike) and sister-in-law Edith. Mary was born in Chatfield, Manitoba on September 13, 1924. She attended the school in Poplarfield from grades 1 - 6 and moved to Moosehorn for grades 7 and 8. At the age of 18, she moved to Winnipeg and worked in a sewing factory for a few years, and later worked at Eatons mail order. Mary also worked at C.I.L. Plastics and Crown Zellerbach for 20 years. Mary married William on June 18, 1949 and had four children; Gail, Patricia (Rick) and twin sons Glenn (Kathy) and Ken (Kim). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jennifer, Chris, Sabrina, Curtis, Brett and Garrett. Mary took great joy in her garden and always managed to harvest a plentiful crop. She would can dozens of jars of pickles and fruits. Mary loved to pass the time by crocheting, reading, travelling and cooking for her family. The family would like to express their appreciation to the caring and loving staff at Donwood Manor as well as the care and friendship of Mary's companions; Justina, Irene, Tina K. and Tina D. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with the Very Reverend Dr. Gregory Zubacz officiating. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
