HARRY JOHN DAWKES July 3, 1930 November 27, 2010 On Saturday, November 27, 2010, Harry died at Central Park Lodge P.C.H. at the age of 80 years. Left to mourn Harry's memory is his good friend Howard Kitchen and his friends on the 12th floor at Central Park Lodge. He was predeceased by his father Frederick in 1930; mother Hannah in 1995; stepfather Edward Price in 1957 and brothers; Ted Price in 1992 and Allan Price in 1998. Harry was born in Winnipeg where he lived his whole life. He worked outdoors most of his life with the Railroad and the Hydro lines. He loved to read medical books and books on wildlife. In his last six years, Harry was on Dialysis but still kept up his reading. Although he seemed to be a tough old nut, he actually was a kind and friendly person. The last few years he cherished his haircuts and shave with old Bill in Chinatown. In compliance with Harry's wishes there will be no Funeral Service. He will be buried with his father. Special thanks to Edna and Sham and all the staff on the 12th floor at Central Park Lodge on Edmonton Street; the dialysis units at Health Sciences Centre and Seven Oaks. It's because of these people that Harry enjoyed living the last six years on dialysis.
