MARION NELLIE WILLIAMS (nee SKABAR) Peacefully, on November 29, 2010, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Marion Williams passed away. Marion is predeceased by her husband George (1989); and sister-in-law Zelma. She is survived by her only child, daughter Gina Lethbridge (Les), and her only grandchild, Ashley Lethbridge, of Kingston, Ontario; sisters Loretta Lewis (Ted), Margaret Trupish (Victor); brothers Edward Skabar of Winnipeg and William Skabar (Helen) of Red Rock, Ontario. Marion and George moved to Cornwall, ON from Marathon ON, and this is where they raised their family. The family moved from Cornwall about 22 years later and lived in both Fort MacMurray and Edmonton. They retired to Selkirk in 1985 to be closer to family. Mom enjoyed curling, bowling and being a member of Notre Dame Church Choir. She also greatly enjoyed dancing, music and socializing with family and friends. Up until the day she had her stroke, she was still very active, she liked going shopping and having coffee with her friends at Tim Horton's. She was a terrific mom and friend to me and I loved her dearly and will miss her very much. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at 11:30 a.m., in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Dado Parrenas officiating.
