JOHN PETER KOOP It is with deep sadness our family announces the passing of John Koop on November 30, 2010. John was born March 12, 1954 and was the oldest child of Isaak (predeceased) and Katie Koop. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Harold and Edward. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Christine (Wes), Corey and Gregory; mother Katie; and brothers, Ernie (Mel), Leo (Heather), Helmut (Dione), Rob (Laurie) and Albert. John will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. John was known for his carpentry skills passed down from his father. He was a perfectionist and it showed in his work. He was patient and kind leaving a legacy of great work behind. When he wasn't working, he volunteered his time coaching a variety of sports. He loved watching the sun rise and outdoor sports such as hunting, fishing, water skiing and cottaging. In keeping with John's wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m. in North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Rd., Winnipeg.
