Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOPE (AMA LOPE) COSINO December 13, 1921 November 28, 2010 Peacefully, on November 28, 2010, at Seven Oaks General Hospital, surrounded by family, Lope Cosino, aged 88, passed away to be with her beloved wife Leonila who predeceased him in September 2004. Ama Lope was born in Alfonso, Cavite, Philippines and immigrated to Canada with his wife (deceased) and children in 1982 to join his eldest daughter Nellie and family. He was also predeceased by his parents Petronilo and Maxima, and brother Marcelo. Left to cherish his memories are: sister Daniela, brothers Ireneo, Miguel, Vedasto and Alfredo. He will be lovingly remembered by his 13 children: Nellie, Pedro (Tesie), Celia, Minda (Dodit), Nario, Pete (Grace), Phil (Nida), Zeny (Rene), Lito (Divina), Imelda (Arnold), Floriza (Gerry), Ollie, Pabs; 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, numerous relatives in the Philippines, California, Spain and Toronto. Ama Lope was a very loving and caring brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. The noise of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was his greatest joy. His kindness and quiet strength even during his illness touched all who knew him. Lamay (viewing and prayers) will be held between 7:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight, Thursday and Friday, December 9 and 10 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., (south of Royal Canadian Mint). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. Edward's Church, 836 Arlington Street, with Father Rainerio Sarce celebrant. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens (Himlayang Pilipino Garden). Pallbearers will be Job Aguilar, Manny Cron, Danny Montifar, Mar Macalalad, Christopher Amante and Albert Dimapilis.
