CHARLOTTE WINSLOW (nee COOPER) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother at Riverview Health Centre, with her family around her, on November 22, 2010. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William Arthur Winslow in 1986 and by her sister Kaye Scott, nephew Robert Scott and great-grandson William. Charlotte is survived by her three loving daughters Carol (Dennis), Kathleen (Denis) and Elaine (David), her dear sister Anna Kidd, nieces and nephews who played such an important part of her life, much loved granddaughters Kathy, Beverly, Pamela, Heather and Laura and great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Mary, Brianna, Cassidy, Kristian, and McKenzie. Charlotte was born in Winnipeg in 1917 and attended school at Earl Grey, Kelvin and later studied teaching at Wesley College Normal School (University of Winnipeg). She taught school in Vita, Mazeppa, also Lord Roberts. She married Bill in 1943, and together they created a loving home and happy childhood for their three daughters. Charlotte loved her garden roses and wildflowers. She loved needlework, cooking, and baking which she shared with her neighbours, who were always happy to help her with her chores. Charlotte loved travelling but she also cherished her time at home with her family and tea parties with her grandchildren. She loved us all so dearly. Charlotte had a strong faith which guided her. She always encouraged us to do the right thing, was warm, kind, gentle, and loving and touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was always sensitive to other's feelings putting her family and others first. Our sincere appreciation to the caring staff on 3W Riverview Health Centre for the kindness shown to our dear mother and her family during her final days. Charlotte is now at peace and will watch over us as always. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
