EDWARD LABUN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ed on November 24, 2010, at 63 years of age after a courageous battle with cancer. Ed will be missed by Grace, his wife and Sweetie of 38 years, as well as his son Matthew (Tricia); daughter Natalie (Will); three grandchildren Corbin, Madeleine and Gabrielle. Ed will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Dorothy (Ed); four brothers, Richard (Hanny), Walter (Martha), Theodore (Verna), Charles (Carolyn). He is also survived by his brother-in-law Claude (Estelle); sister-in-law Irene (Denis); as well as many nieces and nephews. Ed will also be missed by his near and dear friends, Gary and Olga Smith, Vince and Joanne Malizia, Colin Riley, Todd Krebbs, the Switzer, Falk, Cabel and Sauer families. Ed was predeceased by his mother and father, Peter and Esther. The family would like to especially thank the doctors, nurses and staff on 3E at Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care. We would also like to thank Dr. Daeninck and the nurses at CancerCare, St. Boniface. We'd like to thank his dear Louise for her weekly visits and putting a smile on his face. Thank you to everyone that visited Ed over the past 16 months and helped brighten his days, it meant a lot to him. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ed's life will be held on Thursday, December 30, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Parish, 320 St. Charles St., Winnipeg, with Rev. Allan Labun and Father Paul Tinguely officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Charles Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed's name to Pancreatic Cancer Canada (www.pancreaticcancercanada.ca)
