Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNA MAY SITARZ (nee HATLEY) On Thursday, December 2, 2010 Lorna May Sitarz beloved and devoted wife of Norbert, passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital, to be with the Lord, at the age of 64 years after a valiant and courageous five year battle with colorectal cancer. In addition to her loving husband Norbert, she is survived by her two beloved sons Bradley (Jennifer) and Kelly (Hildegart); cherished grandsons Landen and Aidan all of Winnipeg; brother Johnny (Dianna) Hatley of Napinka, Manitoba; cousin Diane (Peter) Fenton of Prince Edward Island; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as fondly remembered by Helen (Jim) Parker of Calgary, Carl Sitarz of Winnipeg, Richard (Elaine) Sitarz of Rollyview, Alberta and their families. She was predeceased by her parents; brother Lornie; sister Arlene; numerous aunts; uncles and cousins. Lorna was born on May 1, 1946 to Michael and Margaret Hatley in Split Lake, Northern Manitoba. She dearly loved her family, cooking and baking, her garden, knitting, music and dancing, her God, nature, friends and scrabble. Her infectious smile, laughter and personality were a true inspiration and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Lorna was truly a great, honest friend, a perfect Mother, Wife, Grandmother and a Brave Fighter who would not give up. She will be fondly remembered and truly missed in our world. Prayers will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. also in the Church, with Fr. Carl Tarnopolski, V. G., presiding. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Birds Hill Provincial Park, MB. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all her kind and supportive neighbours, wonderful friends, and her loving relatives for all your thoughtfulness and friendships. As well a special thanks to Dr. Ogaranko and staff at Victoria Hospital, the Doctors and staff at St. Boniface and the Health Sciences Centre, for your kind, compassionate care of our Mom. In lieu of flowers and if you wish, donations in Lorna's memory may be made to your favourite charity. Rest In Peace Our Beloved Lorna.
