HELEN MASON (RUTA) Our mother entered the gates of heaven the morning of November 30, 2010, at the age of 96, with her loving daughters at her side. We know that mom is now singing with the angels. Helen was predeceased by her mother Maria, her husband Myron and her son-in-law Swin. She remains in the hearts of her daughters Marianne, Vikki (Jim) and Myra, and grandchildren Garry, Colin (Stacey), Gavin (Pam), Kyle and Kelly. Mom provided a loving, warm and nurturing home for her children through both good and difficult times and taught them to live honestly, simply and with love. Her values will continue to guide them throughout their lives. Mom took pleasure in the simple things in life. She particularly enjoyed her involvement with St. Bede's Anglican Church and later volunteering for Deer Lodge Centre. She was a woman of many talents and she was Our Rock . We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for the loving comfort and care of our mom over the last 11 years, especially during her last days. A private family service has been held and a celebration of her life will follow in the spring.
