Dad faced each new challenge with strength and determination in the hope that he could conquer his illness. The journey was long, but through it all, Daniel kept assuring his family and friends that Everything will be OK, I am happy. . Born in St. Boniface on January 12, 1926. Daniel worked for Canada Packers as a Foreman until his retirement in 1986. When he was not at work and well into his retirement, he maintained a love of gardening, golf, curling, bird watching, hunting, fishing and spent many hours completing numerous wood-working projects. Everyone loved Dad's tomato plants, which he grew and shared with many. Always the consummate storyteller and family historian, we will miss his speeches at family functions and his prayers of grace over family dinners. Daniel had a kind heart, gentle smile and took great pride in his family and their accomplishments. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Beatrice, daughter Karen (Gerry), son Douglas (Laurie), grandchildren Kimberly (Pete), Chad (Tracy), Lindsay, Daniel, Steven and Kevin as well as his special great-grandchildren William, Emily and Bradley. In addition, brother Jackie (Claire), sisters Denise (Robert), Susie (Ben), Delphine (Ted), Birdie, Marlene, and Judy (Ray) as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and special golf and curling friends, have Daniel in their thoughts and prayers.
