Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEUGENE JOSEPH PATENAUDE June 26, 1931 - December 3, 2010 It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Eugene will be sadly missed by his new bride Lucille (Henrie) and her family, his children Lise (Bob), Richard, Cookie, Solange (Tony), Gisele (Bryan), his grandchildren Susie (Norm), Jason, Deena (Kelly), Bradly (Jill), Jenna, Clint, Grant, Andrea and his great-grandchildren, Sara, Eric and Carson. Eugene was the last child of Rose and Joseph Patenaude to pass. Eugene was born in Piney, MB, and at the age of seven moved to St. Malo with his family. There he met and married Jeanne Lafantaisie and was married to her for 52 years. They moved to Winnipeg after being married two years and remained there. Dad worked at a young age for farmers in Letellier, and then worked at Modern Dairies for over 40 years where he was a pasteurizer. Eugene loved going to work every day and playing pranks on his co-workers and mostly everyone he knew. Dad was a hard-worker, a jack-of-all-trades, an antique car restorer, a magician, a great lover of nature, a hilarious storyteller and a devout Catholic. Dad loved company and brought joy and laughter to everyone he knew. Dad loved life, loved his family and everyone he knew, he always had good things to say about everyone. Dad was our best friend and had the true Joie de Vive. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 1007 St. Mary's Road on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9. Special thank-you to the staff of the Victoria General Hospital, especially Dr. K. Cavers. DESJARDINS 233-4949
