Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECILIA REGINA KUSHNERYK Cecilia Kushneryk passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2010 with her loving family by her side. Cecilia was predeceased by her husband William, and brother Joseph. She is survived by her loving sister Mary Nielsen of Saint John, New Brunswick, sons William (Janet) and Ronald (Beverley), grandchildren Susan, Colin (Janna), Timothy, Tanya Kennedy (Ronald) and Kristy Procyshen (Lyle) as well as great-grandchildren Zachary, Sara, Kane, Ruby and Justin, sister-in-law Edith, nieces Valerie Grainger (Ken), Gladys Brett-Davies (Neil) and Jill Buhler (Doug) and children Cody and Hailee. Cecilia was born June 8, 1923 in Sussex, New Brunswick, where she grew up and attended school. Cecilia met Bill in Sussex where he was serving with the Canadian Army and they were married April 6, 1942. On Bill's return from overseas, they moved to Winnipeg and settled in the Crescentwood area where they raised their two sons and resided until Bill's death in 2005. After Bill's death, Cecilia moved to Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home, where she received excellent care from the nurses and staff. Cecilia was a gentle and loving person with a wonderful and fun sense of humour. She was kind to everyone she met and always brought warmth to any gathering. She treasured her family and friends above all else and was happiest among them. Cecilia will be very sadly missed by those many people who loved her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, Lanark Street at John Brebeuf Place with Msgr. Stan Jaworski and Rev. Mark Tarrant as celebrants. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cecilia's memory to a charity of one's choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
