EDWARD KIESMAN Peacefully in the early hours of December 3, 2010 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB, Edward Kiesman, aged 80 years of Moosehorn, MB passed away. Dad leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years Evelyn (Fenning); sons Corey (Yvonne), Brian (Leah), Douglas (A-Lynne); grandchildren Robyn, Janelle, Bradley, Brett, Jaydon, Taylor; four great-grandchildren; sisters Edna (Erwin) and Ruth; brother Paul (Isabelle); sisters-in-law Myrtle (Dave), Mae and Violet; brothers-in-law Dave (Evelyn), Brian (Lorraine), Russell, Harvey (Margaret) and Allan; two aunts along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Dad is predeceased by his parents Fred and Angela, in-laws Eric and Lena Fenning along with numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Dad was born May 18, 1930 in the RM of Siglunes but the Mud Lake was his home in the New Home District. Dad was a lifelong Lutheran attending Sunday School and Confirmation at St. Paul's Lutheran and being an active member of the Peace Lutheran Church until his passing. Dad and Mom were married October 3, 1959 and resided near Moosehorn. Dad worked more than 40 years at Spearhill and Faulkner lime plants, only leaving for a few years to gravel roads with Ron Tober. Dad also worked briefly in Red Lake but didn't like being away from his family. In the early 60s, he went back to work at the lime plant until his retirement in 1995. Dad loved farming and always had cattle. When his sons were old enough to farm with him, he was in his glory, but farming and collecting a pension cheque was the ultimate'. Dad sold the last of his cows this last January only weeks before first falling ill. Dad and Mom shared a wonderful loving life together. This past summer they spent countless hours driving around the area, sitting side-by-side in restaurants, sharing as much time as they could together. Mother has truly lost the love of her life. According to Dad's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn, MB. Interment to follow in the Lutheran Cemetery with lunch to be held at the Moosehorn Community Hall. Urn bearers will be three of his grand-children Brett Kiesman, Jaydon Kiesman and Taylor Kiesman and his remaining grand-children will be considered Honourary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Peace Lutheran Memorial Fund, PO Box 68, Moosehorn, MB R0C 2E0 or to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, c/o Julie Bergner, PO Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0.
