VIOLET MAY SAYER February 22, 1922 - December 6, 2010 Violet passed away peacefully to be with her heavenly Father on December 6, 2010, at the Concordia Hospital, with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband George Sayer and her sons Alvin and Lorne. Violet is lovingly remembered by her daughter Glenda (Glenn) Hewgill; daughter-in-law Corrine Sayer; sons Hugh, Raymond (Michelle), David (Audrey), Terry (Carolyn) and Victor (Velvet). She was a loving grandmother to 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Violet also has numerous nieces and nephews and a sister Marjorie Smith. Violet loved to share her homemade bread and jams along with other delicious dishes with family and friends. The grandchildren always came by grandmas for a visit and to pick up their homemade bread which grandma delighted to bake for them. Violet enjoyed the family picnics, berry picking, hockey and baseball games, attending church services and her bible study groups. Thanks Mom for the family prayer and Christian leadership. The family would like to thank the staff at the Convalescent Home and Concordia Place for their thoughtful care of our mother.
