LAURA BATISTA MONTEIRO CORREIA On the evening of December 5, 2010, Laura Batista Monteiro Correia passed away peacefully at the Maples Personal Care Home. She leaves her two sons, Orlando and Antonio Correia; two daughters, Lucia Chaves and Laura Sousa; two sons-in-law, Jorge Chaves and Vitorino Sousa; two daughters-in-law, Lourdes and Lucia Correia; eight grandchildren, Sandra, Roger, Silvia and Sonia Correia, Catarina Sousa, Jorge, Marco and Barbara Chaves; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Maria Delgado and Fatima Monteiro; and nephews and nieces. She was born in Santa Maria, Acores, daughter of Manuel Monteiro Cabral and Adelina Batista Monteiro, and lived there many years before coming to Winnipeg to be with her family 14 years ago. Laura lived at the Maples Personal Care Home for nine years with her husband Rogerio (passed away February 28, 2008) and the family would like to thank them for all of their hard work and care throughout this time. She will be missed dearly and loved always by her family and friends. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., with Rev. Father Wladimir Porreca officiating. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St., with Rev. Father Wladimir Porreca Celebrant.
