JEAN (JOHN) ALFRED BRULE December 27, 1934 December 5, 2010 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. John passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre with his family at his side, at the age of 75. John will always be remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Monique (née LaFlèche); his children, Michelle Savard (Henri), Diane Zelmer (Allen), Robert, and Nicole Schwab (Blaine); and nine beautiful grandchildren, Brigitte, Mario, Patrick, Kellie, Debbie, Zachery, Britney, Cory and Jessica. John was predeceased by his parents, Honoré and Olive, brothers Michel and Fernand, his sister Thérèse m.o., his sisters-in law Doreen and Sylvia, and nephew Darrell. He is survived by his brothers Lucien (Louise), Jérôme, Paul (Doreen), Germaine (Chuck) and Céline (Gérard), many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the LaFlèche family, and everyone who called him Mononcle Jean/Uncle John. John was born in Ile-des-Chênes, Manitoba, where he dedicated his life to working on the family homestead. At a young age he helped his uncle Joseph d'Auteuil farm the land and developed a passion for agriculture. Aside from farming, he worked various construction jobs, namely at Canadian Gypsum, and retired from Concordia Hospital as chief engineer in 1996. Thereafter, he spent his time enjoying family, travelling, restoring old tractors and growing impressive gardens. We are so proud to have had such a well-liked and respected Pépère whose smile and big heart will truly be missed by many. The family would like to thank friends and family for their prayers and support. Service will be held at the Roman Catholic Church in Ile-des-Chênes on Friday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Donations in John's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
