Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE PINARSKI (KOZUN) November 6, 1920 - December 6, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, at Red River Place, surrounded by her family. Mom will be sadly missed by daughter Elizabeth (Leonard), granddaughter Tracey (Ryan), grandson Craig (Nicole), great-granddaughter Chantel; son Rick, granddaughter Karen (Ryan), great-grandson Ryan Jr., grandson Kevin (Jennifer) and their mother, Donna. She will also be missed by Betty (Joe), Bill (Beryl - deceased), Julia (Andy), plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Phillip; father John and mother Annie; sisters Annie (Tom), Stephanie (Joe); brothers Fred (Ann) and Walter in infancy; sisters-in-law Cecilia (Joe), Mary (Ted) and Frances (Fred). Mom was a loving, caring and giving mother who was always happy to see her family. She was born and raised in Selkirk, MB, and this is where she met dad, they were happily married, until his death in 1982. Mom had worked at the SOS Department store for many years and she also worked for Baker Boy Catering. She loved her bingo and making afghans, cooking, baking and she was a life long member of the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Mom moved to the Lion Centre in 1984 after dad's passing, then to Red River Place in 2008. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2010, in the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Selkirk, MB, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow the service in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Kulchyski, Ryan Bennett, Glen Kozun, Melvin Elder, Jerry and Kieran Svencicki. In lieu of flowers, donations in mom's name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3G 4G2.
