HELEN ROSEMARIE FUNK (nee HORODYSKI) April 22, 1939 - December 5, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen on December 5 in Winnipeg at Riverview Health Centre. She was predeceased by her father Anthony, her mother Mary and her brother-in-law Ed Kmiec. Helen is survived by her sister, Gloria Kmiec and her brother Robert Horodyski, her loving children Kevin (Kim) Funk, Kim (Denis) Champagne, Kurt (Darlene) Funk, her grandchildren Candace, Kyler, Paris, Chantel, Monique, Danielle, Jaclyn and Brittany, and her great-grandchildren Robyn and Alea. Also remaining to cherish her loving memory are her cousins Marianne Burak, Jean Zushman, and Sandra Syrota of England, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Helen will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. Despite illnesses which restricted her mobility, Helen loved life and had a strong will to participate in as many functions as possible. Helen's family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Riverview Health Centre for all of their care and support. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Helen's life will be held on Saturday, December 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, in Winnipeg.
