RENATE GRAVERT MARTENS Peacefully, with her husband by her side, Renate passed away at Boundary Trails Hospital, Manitoba on Sunday, December 5, 2010. Renate will be lovingly remembered by her husband Peter Martens; her children Dagny (Andy), Silja and Delf; her stepchildren James (Bev), Lynnette (Abdul) and Ange (Jon); her grandson Christophe; and Peter Martens eight grandchildren. Renate will also be missed by her many wonderful friends, especially Ute of Germany who was like a daughter to her. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Springstein Mennonite Church at 2:00 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Portage and District Arts Centre, available at the service. The family would like to thank Home Care and Boundary Trails Palliative Care Staff for their compassionate support.
