GEORGETTE PARISIEN (nee TOUROND) February 12, 1925 December 4, 2010 Georgette passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Her husband Felix and her daughter Anita predeceased her. She will be sadly missed by her children, Raynold, Paul, Lawrence (Margaret), Louis, son-in-law Stan, Loretta (Gary), Diane (Louis), Francis (Jan), Theresa (Dave), Robert (Crystal) as well as 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and sometimes even took in other people when they needed help. She worked at a variety of jobs including tree and tobacco planting, as well as many years at Friendly Family Farms where she made many friends. She enjoyed the large family gatherings, picking blueberries, trips to Ontario, playing cards and of course Bingo. She also enjoyed going for rides on the many bush trails because she loved the pine trees. Georgette will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends she made along the way. Cremation has taken place and a private funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 as per her wishes.
