Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA NEUFELD DRIECHEL (nee BRAUN) Eva, beloved wife of Otto Driechel, passed away on December 8, 2010, at Poseidon Care Centre. Eva was born on June 9, 1925, to John B. and Anna Braun. She was part of a large, loving family, and spent her early years on the family farm in the Altona area. As a young woman, Eva came to Winnipeg and spent over 30 years working at Manitoba Hydro. Eva was brought up in a Christian home and over the years was an active member in her church. She was very musical and was organist at Bethel Mennonite Church for over 20 years and at Dugald United for ten years. Eva was a wonderful cook and baker and prepared many delicious meals and treats over the years. Eva was a crossword fan and, until very recently, continued to be able to work on her puzzles. In 1973 Eva married Otto Driechel and they made their home for several years in Dugald, but for the most part in Winnipeg. Thirteen years ago, Eva suffered a major stroke which changed her life dramatically. She was able to stay with Otto in their home until five years ago when she moved to Poseidon Place. A huge Thank You to the staff at Poseidon who looked after Eva so well. Eva is survived by her beloved Otto, stepdaughter Barbara and Ken Hilton; grandchildren Cheryl Kendall, Lauren Wadge, Tawnia and Shawn Lavallee, Todd Kendall; great-grandchildren Evan Hiebert and Rachel Kendall. Also mourning Eva's passing are her sisters, Erna Loeppky and Leona Braun; brothers Ed, Elmer (Diane), Leonard (Martha), Dennis (Jean), and many nieces and nephews in the Braun family.
