Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEA BAHUAUD (nee JEANSON) Peacefully on December 7, 2010, Léa passed away at the age of 93 years. Léa is lovingly remembered by her children: Denise, Lucienne (Luc Bégin) and Leo (Joan); grandchildren: Richard Leblanc (Janine), Rachelle Kroetsch (Kevin), Lisanne (Sean-Verlaine) and Madeleine Bégin and great-granddaughter Lillian Kroetsch; sisters, Eva Timmerman and Emma Bahuaud; brother Louis Jeanson; sisters-in-law: Claire, Dora, Jeannine and Rénee Jeanson, Fernande Espenell, Cécile Grainger (Percy), Lauraine Lea; brothers-in-law, Hector and Hervé Bahuaud (Lorraine) and numerous nieces and nephews. Léa is predeceased by her husband Roland; parents, Octave and Cordelia Jeanson; brothers: Albert, Emile, Jules, Noel, Rosaire, Armand and Aimé; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as by a very dear great-uncle Raymond Lemaux. Léa was born on April 18, 1917 in Lorette, MB to a large farming family. She met her husband Roland in 1949 and they married on January 27, 1951 in Lorette, MB. They moved to Winnipeg shortly after and shared a wonderful life together raising their three children until his passing in 1957. She lived most of her life in St. Boniface and was active in her community. She was involved with the Conservative Party of Canada, the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion #43 and the Paroisse du Précieux-Sang. Léa took great pleasure in gardening, socializing with friends and family and she loved to play cards and bingo. Léa was very proud of her family; she had a wonderful sense of humour and was a very kind, thoughtful and generous person who will be deeply missed. Thank you to the staff at the Centre Taché 3DE wing for the care and compassion you gave Mom during her life there. Also thank you to the Royal Canadian Legion #43 for the many visits made, your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Funeral Mass will be held in Précieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny St., on Monday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Denis Jeanson, Claude Jeanson, Richard Leblanc, Kevin Kroetsch, Donald Bahuaud and Daniel Bahuaud. Interment will follow at a later date in St. Lupicin, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one's choice. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
