CHRISTINE (CHRISSY) DAWN PETRYCKY Peacefully, on December 8, 2010, after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis, Chrissy passed away at the age of 19, surrounded by her family and friends. She will be forever and sadly missed by her parents Susanne Ward and Ihor Petrycky, sisters Kathryn and Lisa, brother Andrew, (Hazel), nephew Gage, gigi Bohdan Petrycky, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chrissy was an amazing artist, a lover of animals, and always put other people's needs before her own. Her cat Squeak offered constant comfort and companionship, and could always find a way to bring a smile to Chrissy's face. To all who knew her, Chrissy was a feisty, lively ball of fire with a quick wit and on occasion, a sharp tongue. She loved the challenge of a good debate. Thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences Center, especially the nurses and staff of CH5, and the entire CF team, for their many years of love, care, and support. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. To honour Chrissy's battle, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
