Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGAIL JUNE JACKSON (nee JOHNSON) June 23, 1939 December 7, 2010 Surrounded in the love of her family, Gail passed away peacefully in the afternoon of Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Gail was born in Winnipeg and in her youth she enjoyed baseball and figure skating. She grew up in a loving family of four children in North Kildonan and attended Miles MacDonell Collegiate in the 1950s. After school she started work at Simpson Sears. In 1957 she met Irvin, they married September 10, 1960, celebrating 50 years of marriage this past fall with her family. In 1961 she became a full time Mum to her three boys and Irv. Family came first to Mum and she stayed home until 1975, looking after her young family. Mum loved her job with Proctor Silex and the many lifetime friends she made. Later in life Mum enjoyed the thrill of being a Grandmother to her five special angels. She was our special angel and will be missed more than words can say. Gail was the beloved wife of Irvin, Mother to Bob (Kathy), Ken (Chris) and Bruce (Cheri), Grandmother to Matt, Joel, Chris, Brooke-Lynn and Julia, sister to Ray (Adeline) and Maureen (Richard) and loving daughter to her Mother Aurora and many nieces and nephews. Gail was predeceased by her father Maurice Sr. and her brother (Moe) Maurice Jr. Special thank you to the dedicated doctors and staff at the Saint Boniface Cardiac ICU. At Gail's request, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. A family gathering is planned when the flowers are blooming. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation.
