Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE MARGARET REID (nee LAND) January 30, 1918 - December 11, 2010 With sadness the family of Alice Reid announces the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Alice Reid after a brief illness at the Selkirk General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Nelson, her parents and all her siblings. She leaves to lovingly remember her three daughters, Myrna (John) Johnson, Linda (Colin) Smith and Brenda (Murray) Paull; five grandchildren, Blaine (Nenette) Johnson, Dale Johnson, Paul Smith, Marli Paull and Kelsey Paull; her special great- granddaughter Chloe Johnson; sister-in-law, Thelma Land and many nieces and nephews Mom lived life to the fullest and was active to the end, she was a 60 year member of the Selkirk United Church, the U.C.W. and The Circles, she was also Past Noble Grand of the Laurel Rebecca's Lodge. She enjoyed outings with family and her many friends and always seemed on the go. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Selkirk General Hospital for their kind and professional care; also special thanks to Rev. Deborah Vitt, Lorriane Lay and Aunty Thelma for their visits and support as well as all who came to be with her. In accordance with her wishes a Memorial Service will be held Thursday on December 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the Selkirk United Church. Lunch will follow in the Church hall and interment of ashes to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Selkirk United Church building fund is requested.
